Dusting off the Bind-It-All

seriously, it was really dusty, since I’m on a self-imposed mini-album hiatus poor Mr. Bind It All doesn’t get much of a work out these days.

I was organizing  my craft room on Saturday (who knew I had 3 spools of  dark brown thread, not me) and I needed to move Bind-It-All to make room for a newish sewing station(after all if I have three spools I should probably try and sew something.)

As I moved my Bind-It-All to its new home I was immediately struck with an idea — not for a mini-album but a way to store all of my uber fun Studio Calico stamps.  Which, if the truth be told, are one of my favorite things about the kits even though I hardly ever use them. I’ve had this post by fellow SCer Reyanna rolling around in my head for a few weeks and the combination of ideas had all attempts at organization for the rest of the room coming to a halt so I could stop and make this…

KI Die Cut Paper, Glimmer Mists, OA Alpha, Random ribbon and SC Packaging materials, MS butterfly punch

This was truly an  ‘all scraps on deck’ project.  The covers were made with some packaging from some We R Page protectors,  I misted them and the KI paper which was a green that I wasn’t in love with the started cutting apart bits and pieces of the packaging that comes with the SC stamps and wrapped a ribbon around for closure.

For the inside…

just some cheapy white cardstock, transparency sheets and again more SC stamp packaging.  I adhered the plastic piece with the image that comes with the stamp to the cardstock and then put my stamps on top.

I love that they are all in one place and that the book is easy to transport, maybe now I’ll actually use them.

or not

but at least Mr. Bind-It-All feels loved and useful again.
